Overview

Mikumi and Udzungwa are designed to fulfill tourists showing interest in wildlife views. With this tour, you will enjoy a wonderful game drive and see many animals, a cultural tour, and enjoy the magnificent hike and Sanje waterfalls. We recommend it for everybody of different ages. Destination to destination are fairly close to each other.

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park and Cultural Tour
You'll be picked up from the airport, ferry, or hotel and drive directly to Mikumi National Park. You'll stop at Morogoro for lunch. Then, you'll continue the journey to Mikumi National Park which takes almost 6 hours to Mikumi National Park. After arrival at Mikumi National Park, you will rest at the hotel for a few hours then you'll go to visit a Masai boma for 2 hours. You will be back to the hotel.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Camp Bastian Mikumi.
Day 2 Guided Game Drive in Mikumi National Park
You will embark on a captivating exploration of Nyerere National Park with Asante Bibi Tours. You'll be immersed in the untamed beauty of this unique destination, where wildlife immersion becomes a reality. Join us for an unforgettable adventure, where each moment promises encounters with diverse fauna in the vast landscapes of Nyerere.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Camp Bastian Mikumi.
Day 3 Nyerere National Park to Dar es Salaam
Day 3 Hiking and Waterfalls in Udzungwa Mountains National Park
Today your guide will take you to the Hidden Waterfall Trail taking you to Njokamoni Waterfall, right back into Hondo Hondo. It’s a long, steep walk that climbs to over 1000m, so you should plan to leave early. It is necessary to take a ranger on this hike as there are large mammals deep in the forest. You will certainly see plenty of wildlife on this trail. Once you’ve climbed the sometimes-steep trail to the ridge, you walk through the flat grassy bottoms of some beautiful hidden valleys (hence our name for the trail) often frequented by elephants.

Your overnight stay will be at Camp Bastian Mikumi.
Day 3 Nyerere National Park to Dar es Salaam
Day 4: Mikumi to Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, you will drive back to Dar es Salaam (some 6-7 hours) with arrival in the late afternoon at the airport or your hotel (or in time for the last flight to Zanzibar at 6:15 pm for extension). This Tanzania Southern Circuit itinerary can be extended with a nice relaxing stay at Zanzibar. Please ask for further info. End of your family safari Tanzania South.
