Day 1
Arrival — Beach Resort Check-In
Arrive at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ), where your VICMOS representative will welcome your family and arrange a private transfer to your beach resort on Zanzibar's north coast. Check in, settle into your family room or connecting rooms, and let the kids get their first look at the beach.

The rest of the day is free to unwind after travel — a swim in the pool, a walk on the sand, or simply relaxing as a family before the adventures begin.

Day 2
Jozani Forest, Butterfly Centre & Seaweed Farm
After breakfast, head to Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park — Zanzibar's only national park and home to the rare, endemic red colobus monkey, found nowhere else on Earth. Walk the raised boardwalk trail through mangrove forest with your guide, spotting monkeys, birds, and other wildlife along the way — a genuinely exciting, easy walk for kids of most ages.

Next, visit the Zanzibar Butterfly Centre, where children can walk through a netted garden alive with dozens of butterfly species, learning about their life cycle from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly up close.

In the afternoon, visit a local seaweed farm along the coast, where women from nearby villages cultivate seaweed in shallow tidal waters — a fascinating, hands-on look at one of Zanzibar's real local industries, and a great way to introduce kids to how coastal communities live and work.

Day 3
Blue Safari, Swimming & Sandbank BBQ
A full day on the water, built for family fun. Board a traditional boat for a "Blue Safari" excursion, cruising along Zanzibar's coastline with stops for swimming and snorkeling in calm, shallow water suited to children and less confident swimmers.

Continue to a pristine sandbank rising out of the turquoise sea, where a beachside barbecue lunch is prepared fresh — a genuine highlight for kids, who'll love exploring the sandbank at low tide before it disappears back beneath the water.

Return to your resort in the afternoon with plenty of time to relax.

Day 4
Stone Town, Prison Island & Shopping
After breakfast, depart for Stone Town, Zanzibar's UNESCO World Heritage old town. A guided walk through its narrow streets brings the island's history to life — the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, and the winding market lanes all make for an engaging, easy-paced family outing.

In the afternoon, take a short boat ride to Prison Island, where kids can meet giant Aldabra tortoises up close — consistently one of the most memorable stops for younger travelers — before some time to swim or relax on the island's small beach.

Before returning to your resort, enjoy some time browsing Stone Town's shops and markets for souvenirs, spices, and local handicrafts.
